President Obama took a swipe tonight at SCOTUS for the 5-4 ruling

the decision was that corporations and unions could donate  to fund political ads for or against specific candidates.

Obama’s statement in the State of the Union Address:

“With all due deference to the separation of powers,” he began, the court last week “reversed a century of law that I believe will open the floodgates for special interests — including foreign corporations — to spend without limit in our elections.”

Judge Alito shook his head and he seemed to be saying “Not True”

The issue with this IMO is the seemly scolding of another branch of our government in a public forum!

I happen to agree with the 5 judges. To not allow companies to have a voice in elections is purely unconstitutional

State of The Union Address


The latest income-tax form has been greatly simplified. It consists of only three parts:
1. How much did you make last year?
2. How much do you have left?
3. Send amount listed in part 2.

As I listen to President Obama talk about our “tax cuts” I think about my job last Friday night in completing our taxes for 2009 and our income down $5000.00 from 2008 but our tax responsiblity was up $1782.00? Is this what he means by a tax cut?
